Hi Dave

To attach a part of cloth to the moving object you should create a group of vertices.

This group can be attached to any moving object with "Surface" or "Node" buttons at the "Group" rollout in the Cloth modifier.

This is described at "Autodesk 3ds Max Help > Modifiers > Object-Space Modifiers > Cloth and Garment Maker Modifiers" section of the reference section.

Hey:

Enjoy your tutorials, esapecially finding the cloth one of interest. I do need help though, as no where do I seem to find an answer to this question.
So okay. I create a cloth simulation (flag, banner, whatever). How does one go about attaching that piece of moving cloth to a fixed object, such as a flag pole? I can't find it in the reference section, in my bible, or anywhere in the Area. Can ya help a fellow out here?

Thanks,
